WA State Title
On Saturday we returned to the Perth Motorplex for the WA State Title. 36 cars were on hand, we got a win and a 3rd in the heats which gave us a 3rd place starting spot in the feature. The track was super slick for the feature and to stop it taking rubber they used the scarifier to dig up the bottom and top lane of 3 and 4. Got a bad start and slipped back, from there I moved around trying to make different lanes work, losing a couple of positions in the process. Ended up 9th, not the result I thought we would get after the heats, but the car was fast.
The series has been off for over a month, so we have been working on our gear, getting ready for the next couple of weeks. We have a busy month coming up, with a $5k to win show, the National Title, Hump Day Show then the Late Model Nationals all over 14 days. So, it was good to come out on Saturday and be super competitive, despite the final result not necessarily reflecting it.
